This dynamic, original painting (40'' x 40'') is packed with small, meditative details. Based on a photo Christina took while camping, this painting expresses the vast beauty of Lake Superior's water and horizon. A vintage Lake Superior map sits between multiple layers of paint, subtly adorning the background of the piece. The 1.5'' edges of the canvas are finished in the "gallery wrap" style, (see photo), so that the painting can hang with a finished look, with or without a frame. The piece is sealed with a UV-resistant, archival varnish in a satin finish.
